Recently moved to Maidstone and needed a dog trimmer for my Shih-Tzu, Izzy. Met Karen from the Dog Hotel & Spa by chance and booked Izzy in. From the start, Karen was very professional asking precise questions on how Izzy should be trimmed and requesting a photo in the style I liked.
To be honest the photo I gave Karen was of a much younger Izzy looking her best, and didn’t expect that this cut could be achieved again. However, Karen more than exceeded my expectations and Izzy was trimmed beautifully. Furthermore, I was very impressed with the care that Karen took and Izzy seemed quite relaxed about the whole experience.

I took my Scottish Terrier 'Mac' to Karen for his first haircut. He was a little nervous to start with but Karen took the time to allow him to get to know her a little and gained his trust and she did a wonderful job. He looks like a different dog! I took Kiki to the Dog Hotel and Spa for the first time recently as I had been recommended by somebody locally as they were extremely pleased with the results. Kiki had previously only been for such treatments 3 times before and had never enjoyed the experience, returning home each time very subdued and quiet. Karen did a wonderful job of detangling and trimming Kiki which I was very pleased with and Kiki was not at all distressed when she returned home so she will definitely be returning for more.

Having decided to DIY groom Cupcake, my 7 mth old Chihuahua/Yorkie cross due to her hating her first grooming experience at another parlour,, I was in desperate need of a dog groomer who could fix what I had done as it didnt go according to plan!!
All I can say is Karen not only groomed her to perfection, but Cupcake remained calm and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We came across Karen’s website by chance when we were looking for boarding at short notice and when we saw that she did grooming as well it seemed like the ideal place as our regular groomer was recovering from an operation. The website looked very professional so we arranged a pre-visit to take a look prior to confirming our booking. From the moment we met Karen we knew Ollie and Buster would be in safe hands and there was never any doubt that we would love them to stay there – a real home from home and somewhere we knew they would be spoilt. Karen greeted them both as they arrived and spent time with us asking questions about them both. Karen did a really great job in both looking after them during their stay and the grooming she did while they were there, even coping with Ollie’s separation anxiety as it was his first time away from home. We picked them both up and Ollie feel asleep almost immediately in the car and they both slept well when we got home, a sign that they had both had a great time

I visited The Dog Hotel and Spa with my Bichon Frise puppy Rosie after meeting Karen and Darcey at Cobtree Park. When we arrived, Rosie was greeted by Darcey and they became instant playmates. Karen asked all about Rosie and how I wanted her to look. When I returned she looked gorgeous. Rosie in usually a shy and nervous puppy after any new experience, but she was happy to stay and play which means her whole experience was happy and stress-free. I will be recommending Karen to all my friends and will not hesitate to take Rosie back again.

Max- a Standard black Schanuzer, has recently visited Karen of the Dog Hotel and Spa Hair and has had the best pampering of his 2 year life. His haircut is superb. As a proud owner of a Standard Schnauzer I would not take him anywhere else. Karen looks after him and always does what I ask for in a cut.
Max loves going and I have full confidence that he is treated with lots of love and care whilst there. He always looks happy to see Karen with lots of wagging of his tail. I would recommend Karen to anyone as a fully professional dog groomer with that added personal touch of love which she shows to all the dogs she grooms. As a bonus her own dog is a Schnauzer!

Our 6 month old puppy Poppy was in desperate need for a makeover after recovering from surgery. I called Karen and explained my urgency and she offered to groom Poppy on the day I telephoned...a Sunday!! I was really grateful. Karen was very professional and Darcey was welcoming too!! When we collected Poppy we were amazed she looked and smelt beautiful with a pink flower and a pink bandana collar!! Poppy had lots of fun with Darcey and was sad to leave! I would recommend Karen for Dog grooming and we look forward to Poppy spending her holidays with Karen and Darcey!
